Stainless Fabrication, Inc.

Stainless Fabrication, Inc. (“SFI”) is EIC’s first acquisition based out of the United States, with its head office in Springfield, Missouri, and has sales throughout the United States. SFI designs and manufactures custom stainless steel tanks, vessels and processing equipment and services the healthcare, pharmaceutical, food, ethanol, dairy, beverage, chemical and transportation industries.

SFI provides both in-house fabrication and field fabrication/erection services to customers such as Unilever, Xerox, Bayer, Novartis, Nestle, Phillip Morris, Genentech, ADM, Cargill, Kraft Foods, Coca Cola and Bausch & Lomb. SFI has a diverse customer and industry base that requires the highest in quality and safety from SFI.

The in-house operations of SFI are designed to accommodate the fabrication of tanks up to 60,000 gallons in size and processing equipment such as mixers, reactors and storage tanks. This can also include electropolishing services used for medical, semiconductor and food processing equipment and is designed to brighten the metal; remove scratches and obstructions, oxides and impurities; reduce surface roughness and directional lines; and increase corrosion and bacteria resistance. This is obtained by customers who require extremely sanitary non-contamination conditions for their manufacturing applications.

The field fabrication operations provide a unique approach to building custom stainless steel tanks onsite and can fabricate tanks from 60,000 gallons to 600,000 gallons in volume. Cranes are normally unnecessary since the tanks are erected in their final resting place using jacking devices. Field crews work exclusively on field fabrication projects and are trained extensively in this method of fabrication.

Both of these services contribute to approximately half of the operational revenues of SFI.
